Editors cannot see collections

I have set up an editor role, however when logged in they cannot see the collections?

It's not in the list of permissions in the role editor, is there something obvious I'm missing.

Digging around there are a few values that are checked in the system but not listed in permissions eg:

Looks like the collections permissions are unfinished.

Yes they can actually. This might be OK.
