    Hi Clive Walker !

Thank you for your reply. Somehow I missed that documentation earlier and it clears up most of my questions. If I understood it correctly, in the event of a license upgrade, our current site will continue working using the standard Perch and I can upgrade it to Runway later, if I want.

There is a link to the rewrite rules -guide in the documentation, but the link is broken. Do you have any idea what those Runway-specific rewrite rules are? :)

    Kind regards,

    Hi!

I have several websites using the standard Perch at the moment so I've become quite familiar with the product. But I have never tried runway, how does it differ from the standard (installation & usage)?

If I choose to upgrade one or more of our standard licenses to runway, can I easily upgrade the sites to use the runway or is it a lot of work?

If I upgrade one or more licenses to runway and the actual upgrade is a lot of work, does the standard product in place at the site still work normally with the upgraded license, if I choose to upgrade the actual product on the site(s) later, but want to upgrade the licenses to get the discounted price for them?

I hope you can answer to these questions, thank you! :)

    Hi!

I have been using Perch forms on our website for feedback/contact forms via Microsoft 365 SMTP Client Submission. It has been working like a dream until recently it just stopped working. I researched and contacted the support also and the solution is that Microsoft does not support TLS 1.2 or lower anymore.

I checked that our website is using TLS 1.2 at the moment but our PHP version supports up to TLS 1.3, so is there some way to force Perch to use TLS 1.3 or is it Perch related at all? :)

    Hi Byron Fitzgerald !

Thank you for your answer. I checked and I haven't done any modifications in those folders/files ever. I only have the default en-gb files inside the lang folders (core and app-specific). So it seems the month names are being translated automatically and somehow the two months that include ä characters (a umlaut) are showing blank as seen in the screenshot in my original post. :)

    Kind regards,
    Tenttu

    Hi Gareth S !

Could you refresh my memory, where are the translated words located? It's been quite a while since I setup Perch and the Blog addon and I'm at my summer cottage at the moment. I could then check the translation file on monday, when I'm back at the office. :)

    Hi Gareth S !

Thank you for your answer! I just tried that fix and sadly it didn't work. We have 3 websites using Perch and they all have this same problem. I tried the fix for all three websites and it didn't work on any of them. I also tried clearing browser cache and tried Chrome & Firefox after replacing the function.

What could be causing this problem? Like my original example picture shows, the months are in finnish and the only ones missing are June (in finnish kesäkuu) and July (in finnish heinäkuu).

I greatly appreciate any further steps, tips/tricks and help regarding this problem! :)

    Hi!

Somehow there are two months missing from the date dropdown-field when creating or editing blog posts. It has worked before and I can't remember making any changes that could have affected this, other than changing the server PHP version to a higher one (7.2). The affected months have ä (a umlaut) in them. I even tried lowering the PHP version but it didn't help.

I attached a screenshot of the problem. Might anyone have first-hand knowledge or tips for me to solve this problem? I will be grateful for any help on this matter! :)

    Hi Drew!

Some time ago I did some experiments and updates with the JS functions and plugins but after that I reverted those changes back to original. It seems that at that point the JS functions might have gotten corrupted somehow or something like that. I replaced the functions with the "original/correct" version once more and checked it for any errors. Now the form is working again. I was sure that the functions should have been 100% same than before the experiments but I was wrong.

In conclusion, the form is now working again and the thread can be closed. Thank you for your help regarding this matter!

    Hi Drew,

I made a barebone web page with nothing in it but a title/header "Testing" and below it the Perch form. On that page it just resets the form when I click "Submit" and no email is sent. I used the same form and template that we are using on the official form page.

I wonder what could cause the original problem because there haven't been any significant changes to the page or our site. Only some content on other pages has been modified but text changes will not affect any functions, of course. I checked that our host's PHP version has also remained the same as it has been before.

    Hi Drew!

I don't have any redirects other than forcing http -> https and that has been in place from the start. I've almost always been able to figure out these kind of problems myself but now it seems I just can't get any clarification on the problem.

What are the key components for the form to work? Where could the problem be when the problem is like mine (email is sent successfully but the page and form not doing anything, not even a reload)? Are there any common causes or things I should check?

Thank you for your continuing support!

    Hi Drew!

That same debug message actually shows on the page before AND after submitting. It's almost as the button/form/page didn't respond at all when I press the submit button, but I still get the email from the form. Seems really strange.
