Updating Perch / Unable to login

Hi,

I have updated Perch following the website page information however I am unable to login, it always returns 'File Not Found 404'.

PHP version: 7.1.28

All the frontend of the website works fine with the pages it is just the CMS login dashboard page.

That very much looks like the files are just missing. Have you checked that they're on the server?

I unzipped the file contents from perch and uploaded using FTP (Filezilla) and even tried re-uploading and didn't work. Comparing it to my local download xip folder it appears all files are there.

Is the perch folder in the root of your website?

Yeah the perch folder is in the main root of the website.

Ok. I don't believe there's anything in Perch that would cause this 404. It doesn't look like Perch is even been found. This has to be a hosting issue.

We are running the website on PHP version 7.1+, could it possibly be a security issue setting or .htaccess?

It's very possible it could be something in your htaccess, yes.

You should probably exclude your Perch folder from that baffling sequence of rewrites at the end.

I have removed the sequence of rewrites at the bottom of my .htaccess file and it is all working now. Thanks again.
