Custom product options on Perch Shop products

Hi,

I've been away from Perch for a good while, web development in general and now returning to build a shop. The shop is selling products that are customizable looking like the attached screenshot. I've dug myself into /perch/addons/apps/perch_shop/templates/shop/products/option.html, adding fields works fine – but they are not saving the data. Can anyone point out what I'm doing wrong?

Is it possible to make upcharge on custom options?

Alright, thanks. I hope that it will be prioritized to implement, half the feature is already there. Just need to be able to save data.
