UPDATE - PHP version was causing the issue.

    Thread
A customer wants to change his domain from mysite.com to mysiterecruitment.com, I've moved the site but when I change the live domain in the licence key options I can't login to Perch from the new domain, I get the error 'Sorry, your license key isn't…

I don't see any reason why older Perch sites will fall over [unless there is a PHP compatibility issue with PHP > 8].

I'm not suggesting a Perch -> Runway upgrade for my clients unless there are clear benefits for doing this.

    The Perch -> Runway…

I get the feeling that who ever did the changes to the shopping cart has just done the minimum effort front end to create sales for Runway and did not spot this. Which probably means it would work.

Usable, up to version 3.2 I would assume, which is exactly what is said when purchasing a new Perch license.

I'm going to assume, that should someone purchase a standard Perch license (via the roundabout method) you'll get a license and it will be usable.

In fact, if I had faith in the programming/design ability of the new owners I'd test one out, see if it…

That doesn't make much sense in context of the very next line telling us to Please read documentation to upgrade from Perch to Perch Runway.

Yes, so as a new customer, you have to:
    1. Start your purchase by being redirected to the Perch Runway page
    2. Ignore the fact the website is saying you are now buying Runway license for $249 + VAT instead of $69 + VAT.
    3. Create your account details
    4. Remove the

Have you actually bought a new license? I mean completed the process? Or just gone as far as the Pay With Card option?

I don't really understand why there would be a notice in my account to say that Perch 3 licenses are not available if that's not…

Yep, looks like adding a regular Perch licence to the cart is an oversight. But as I need a new Perch licence I'm wondering if that loophole has been closed yet. Is it worth risking £60 to find out?

I've no argument that Perch is solid and can continue to be used for a long time. Just have to ignore deprecation errors in PHP 8 once PHP 7.4 stops security support in November.

How so, when we can still purchase Perch licenses?

The product is future-proof in terms of the CMS itself, so while for Cart, it seems that it is more a Runway product, I don't see how Perch could be considered discontinued,…

I'm wondering weather to risk trying to buy a standard licence for 3.2. I have a new perch project all ready to go on Monday which was costed out for standard Perch so this current situation is a bit of a pain.

So weird. The one thing you would assume a software company would not want confusion about is purchasing licenses.
