It's not required. What you need is a page that is registered with Perch. If a page is not registered with Perch, some of the page functions lose meaning in this context.
If Perch encounters a perch_content() call, it automatically…
Replied to the thread How to not show current blog post in 'other post' after blog.PostYou can use the filter option to show every post except the post with the current post slug, like this:

Thanks Hussein again for your help, any further assistance on this issue via your app would be very welcome.
Perch very rarely gets in my way as a developer, but it does when it doesn't allow me to add custom attributes to Perch form tags. Thanks to JS libraries like Vue and Alpine it's become common to use attributes like x-*, v-*, @click, …
The ID doesn't change even if you rename the category. Category filtering require you to use category paths.
The problem is that the Shop app's index does not get updated when a category is updated. I may be able to add something to Pipit Catalog to…
OK. If only the ID is getting updated is it possible to filter on that?
Posted the thread How to not show current blog post in 'other post' after blog.ThreadSo I'm adding a blog to my website which is going well so far.
I'm trying to keep the blog very simple. There's only 2 parts. Post List and Post. I'm not using any tags as it's unlikely there will be enough posts to make it relevant.

This is because Perch indexes the category path rather than ID for products. The behaviour is not specific to Perch Shop though. This is perhaps something for drewm to address in v4.
Second half of that debug:
(Code, 51 lines)
Here is the debug information from the category page showing the product list:
(Code, 65 lines)

Here is the debug from the product edit screen:
(Code, 23 lines)
Note: As of this stage the product.html template is an unedited copy of the one from the app folder.

Replied to the thread Perch Shop - Show Only Products from Top Level of Current Category (not sub categories).PostI'll have to look into this, but I can't provide support for this on here. I've opened a GitHub issue. You can subscribe to it if you want to be notified for comments/updates. Feel free to comment on there too.
Replied to the thread Perch Shop - Show Only Products from Top Level of Current Category (not sub categories).PostHello Hussein,
Any ideas why re-ordering the products using pipit catalog would initially break the product category filtering.
Following a re-order in product catalog, all the products disappear, and only show again once each product is saved?
So I have Perch runway site and as soon as the site has any kind of traffic ( like just 20 people ) the site completely dies.
The server spec is ample:
The server tech people are telling me that the code and/or…

On a related note, what is the search searching - blog post…
