I didn't mean any disrespect George G. I was just hoping for some info. Most of us here are developers so we understand that software is hard.

I just really like Perch and really want to keep using it. I'm not trying to cause trouble.

What does this mean? I understood that the handover happened many months ago? Can you clarify? Thank you.

A multiple item region or a Collection in Runway would probably suit this.

And the Perch team should be answering technical questions in this forum. Approving posts and deleting spam is great but you really need to be commenting in detail on technical issues that people have.

It looks like you are using Perch 2.8.29. This is quite old.

What version of PHP are you using? (ask your web host)

Your problem is probably caused by a mismatch between old Perch and PHP version.

Depending on the PHP version answer, I would upgrade…

Have we not listed very many specific grievances? There are grievances galore but there hasn't been much of a response has there. We've been banging our heads against a brick wall for a long time now and this thread is the…

The Upgrade app is an old one now. It's on this page https://addons.perchcms.com/archive

However, it was for Perch 1 > 2 as I remember. The Perch 2 -> 3 upgrade doesn't need the Upgrade app.

I would make a copy of your Perch 1 site and carry out the…

It sounds like you are not a full admin user. Even though your username may be "admin", the privileges associated with that username on your site do not include the ability to edit Settings (normally a link at top right of Perch control panel). Contact…

TheOldDesigner Just watched the primer video. Like it. Some of the process is a lot like Perch. Take your HTML and replace with EE tags. Will have a play when I have a spare hour or two.

We've used the https://github.com/RootStudio/Perch-Locator app on a few recent sites and is still working fine up to PHP 7.4. It hasn't been tested with PHP8 yet.

It does rely on the perch scheduled tasks to geocode the locations so you'll need to…

You can customise the Perch UI if you want something different

That's not possible within Perch core. You would need to create your own custom map and add the locations into Perch so that they can be edited.

I'm using SnipCart to build an e-commerce site for a client with a small inventory.

I'm using a list and detail page with regular Perch. They don't need many variants at the moment so this meets their needs for now. I'll put it on github when it's done…

There has been no covering of the forums this week. At least, no replies from Will B and Matt A ? There are many posts where the Perch team has not commented. Obviously, this leaves a very very poor impression. Many people are moving away from Perch.…

I've been watching for news on a daily basis and I think it's clear that something is very wrong here. They can't give any news because they don't have any. I've delayed a project for 2-3 months now as I felt Perch was the solution but how can I…

Gareth S It would be great if the Perch team could provide a lot more communication. And the community deserves this!

You may have plans and your marketing strategy could be underway. I can see that there is much to do.

Here's my final code. It has some additional category and item filtering in it.

I am using replace in the Perch template to get the correct URL so that's why I have used perch_template.

Great stuff, that's working, thank you.

I will add a filter on the categories so that I get some categories and not all:

    (Code, 12 lines)

I may also template the output although perhaps not really needed.

    Many thanks again.

My thinking at the moment is to put a perch_content_custom call in the each function. Because I need to get the counts from different regions.
