Missing Home Page on New Build

Hi all. Having a random issue here - I have a new migration, Perch Runway 3, it was working fine, but after some HTACCESS edits, the home page is no longer showing. All the other pages however, plus the entire CMS are working fine. What did I mess up?

Here's what I have:

The HTaccess --- I call the directory /cms, not /perch....so that's all that is different.

The server itself is new, but is setup to force HTTPS. I have the debug mode on, but not seeing anything flagged. Any ideas?

Hi,

So on the home page you get a blank page with just the debug message? Can you share the debug message you get?

No it shows in all the pages but the homepage which is entirely blank not even code or the debug.

You should test your .htaccess with a tool like https://htaccess.madewithlove.be/ against the different urls to see what’s happening

A blank page in PHP often means you have a PHP error. Checking your PHP error log could be helpful in this case.

True... so dosa should be checking error logs or turning on php errors and setting the error level to E_ALL on the home master page :

Thanks guys. The tester looks fine, shows the results are correct.

Checked the logs and found this:

There is an index.php page - it's blank but there.

With a runway site you shouldn’t have an index.php. That’s what your htaccess is doing, take the uri and if it doesn’t match an existing file, send it to perch for processing. Since / matches the index.php be default and that file exists, it definitely won’t be processed by perch.

Yep it's got the empty index page. I'm currently checking into my HTACCESS file, it's long and might be the culprit. To be continued....

Just try removing the empty index.php.

RESOLVED! It was because of a GZIP conflict that was updated on Plesk (linux server), once it was added it, it's back up
