Perch license on localhost not working

Hi,

I am trying to update an old Perch site on localhost (carvajalcasariegonew.local) and when I try to login it gives me "Sorry, your license key isn't valid for this domain." error, even I have updated license dev url. Check screenshots.

Any idea?

I wonder if your local PHP version is too new for your old Perch install. Perhaps you can downgrade PHP to 5.4 or similar while you update the site then switch to 7 once you are up to at least 2.8.34

Hi Clive Walker and ellimondo,

I just get back to 5.6.40 on Php and I am able to login, I don't now Perch version.

It's throwing me some new errors after login and I am not able to get into dashboard:

In the source code for the admin screen, the CSS style sheet link has Perch version as a query string.

Personally, I would roll back to the Perch version where you were able to login on PHP 5.6.40. Check, then update Perch to 2.8.34, before changing to > PHP 7. Then upgrade to Perch 3.1.6 if you want to use Perch 3.

Clive Walker It's strange, as the online site (that works perfectly and is the one I replicate) works with same PHP version I am working on localhost...

You might need to run Perch Update again to clear those errors and see if it creates those missing DB columns. You can do that using /perch/core/update/?force=update

Clive's advice above is great btw. Your live site is running 2.7.8 which is pretty ancient so it may take a few incremental upgrade steps to get you up to the php 7 compatible version.

What PHP version is your live site on? I would be surprised if it's on PHP 7 and working correctly.

I finally solved the issue by working on live site instead of stage site. Thanks ellimondo and Clive Walker for your support. Will came back in case future errors appear.
