    Hi.

Can you post your diagnostics please? it's helpful to know what version of Perch and Perch plugins you're using.

I wonder how many people have got that message about reusing licences? And I imagine if that loophole isn't closed that many users will reason "it can't be that much of a problem, if they really wanted us not to reuse licences they'd stop it".

    This…

Thanks! Seems like nginx doesn't always reload like it should at the end of the SSL renewal process.

Late to the party I know usually just a lurker..

I have been using Perch since V1, lone developer/designer servicing small businesses in a niche market, in some ways probably the persona Perch was initially conceived for.

    Over the years I have…

I didn't realize it had been down for so long. I have a couple of new projects in the works, I'm hoping they haven't looked.

Commercially we are exploring new options like Kirby CMS as we are struggling to sell Perch to larger clients due to a lack of roadmap / regular updates / bug fixes.

From a business point of view we need more reassurance. We have a few projects to…

    Hi,

Wishing you all a happy new year! Here's the annual :burd1fly: Perch review: 2019 Wrapped.

Many thanks to all who contributed to the Perch community over the year. Special thanks to Clive Walker for keeping Perch developers connected and updated on…

Hi everyone, I hope all is well with you, that your Perch developments are going well and that you're having a good holiday break.

I've been out of the Perch loop for a while, but wanted to announce something I've been working on for a long time:

Perch Runway's site is down, looks like the SSL has expired. Is it likely to be back up soon?

Thanks Drew for responding. Any ideas about what the future Path for Perch is? Have you come to any decisions about the licencing model? And what can the community to to help?

    Hey all

Thanks for the thoughts above. The situation is that Perch and Runway under the current license model do not generate enough income to keep me working on them full time. Progress on v4 is slow because the time I can afford to dedicate to it is…

Jotted down a few notes after a recent Runway build. Most of these ideas are (probably) minor things, and some of them would not be new suggestions.

I agree. Every product or service needs a course correction from time to time. I'm positive that a change to the pricing model and more communication will save the day!

Success is subjective. The product is stable enough even without frequent updates. That's a success. I'm still purchasing licenses. That's a success. I still get Perch development contract work on new projects from agencies…

Valid points, but I would add that they are now are having to change the pricing model as Perch as it is, is not sustainable which indicates something somewhere isn't working. And it's not always down to how you price your product or service.

    This is…

I think this message can be clear by focusing on simplicity, ease of use (for developers and editors) and how it does not get in the way (e.g. no themes) without having to label it "little", which can be misinterpreted. Having said…

I was suggesting that even if you pay for updates after the initial period that a licence is locked, so yes just domain reassignments. Good point though about businesses changing their domains though, I didn't think of that. I agree…
