SEO - The og:url and og:app_id

Hi all - looking for some help on some simple OG tags for SEO. I found I'm missing two items that I can't get to work.

1. og:url -- here's my code. It's outputting nothing though.

2. og:app_id -- something facebook wants, not sure how to implement it?

Where are you putting that code, in what template? app_id isn't required for social sharing.

Hi ryan - the code is in the standard.html file under the attributes. I know that's the right page, it's running alongside the other meta pieces.

You'd probably need to use something like:

Code

<meta property="og:url" content="https://yourdomain.com/<perch:pages id="pagePath" type="hidden" />" />

Or set the variable outside the template.

Cool, that worked .... pagePath - couldn't find that in the documentation. Thanks!

What about the app_id - seems like facebook wants it, but I'm not sure how to implement.

You'd have to create a Facebook app, in which you can get an ID which you just need to hard code into the template.
