With the old forum system feeling a bit creaky and not giving us many options when it comes to fighting spam, we've decided to up sticks and move to a completely new system.
We'll not be bringing the old threads across, as the information does go out of date very quickly. Instead, the old forum will be archived so that it can still be searched if necessary.
One of the things that's been requested a lot over the years is the decoupling of Perch customer accounts and forum accounts. To us it seemed natural that these should be linked, but there's a strong desire from some to have their (perhaps embarrassing!) questions unlinked from their professional profile. Fair enough. It actually makes things simpler, and this new forum has its own accounts. You can sign up with GitHub or a Google account too.
We're looking into ways to appropriately represent the points system from the old forum (this new one has trophies!), and Registered Developers have a clear indication of that designation and a private forum to use too.
There may be a few configuration teething issues as we get started, so please bear with us while we get everything in place.
